ATLANTA — The Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) announced its 2024-25 Academic Top-25 on Tuesday afternoon. For the third straight season, and the 14th of the last 18 seasons, the Panthers have been named to the WBCA Division I Academic Top-25.
The 2024-25 season saw UNI post the nation's 25th-best GPA with a 3.621. The Panthers are one of just two Missouri Valley Conference programs to appear in the top 25, with Drake ranked no. 8 with a 3.741 GPA.
"I am proud of many things when it comes to UNI Women's Basketball," said head coach Tanya Warren. "The thing I am most proud of is the consistency in which our young women excel in the classroom. To be in the WBCA Top 25 for Team GPA in 14 of the 18 years I have been here speaks to the amazing young women past & present in our program."
The WBCA Academic Top-25 recognizes NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA, and two-year college women's basketball teams across the nation that carry the highest combined GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season. The 2024-25 season is the 30th in which the WBCA has compiled the honor rolls.
