Save The Date: UNI Athletics breakfast at 2025 Iowa State Fair

Join the Panthers on Aug. 14 in Des Moines to kick off UNI Athletics Day at the state fair.
CEDAR FALLS, Iowa --- UNI will kick off UNI Athletics Day at the 2025 Iowa State Fair on Thursday, Aug. 14 with a breakfast event, as announced by the athletic department on Wednesday.
Panther fans are encouraged to join UNI coaches, staff and administrators at the Cattlemen's Beef Quarters at 8 a.m. CT on the Iowa State Fairgrounds for breakfast from the Iowa Cattlemen's Association. Registration, which will cost $13Â for the breakfast, can be found HERE and is required for entry. Regular State Fair admission must be purchased separately from the breakfast registration.
The breakfast will feature a program including remarks from Director of Athletics Megan Franklin to launch a special day of UNI activities at the State Fair, including fair day visits from mascots TC and TK, the UNI cheer team and Panther coaches. Sarah Pratt, a UNI alum who has sculpted the famous state fair Butter Cow sculpture every year since 2006, will also be a guest speaker.
The University of Northern Iowa booth, located inside the Varied Industries Building, offers a plethora of opportunities to Panther fans, both old and new. Alumni will have the chance to reconnect with the university, those interested in attending UNI can find out more about the university's programs, sports fans can grab a poster or fall schedule and everyone can learn more about the exciting things happening at UNI. New Panther gear, including this year's new TC's Tee shirt design from the UNI Bookstore will also be available for purchase.
UNI's booth at the Iowa State Fair will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. CT at the Varied Industries Building in booth 350 throughout the entirety of the fair, which runs from Aug. 7-17. For more information about UNI activities at the State Fair, click HERE.
