Panthers drop game two to the Bears

UNI softball falls to Missouri State by a 10-1, five-inning final.
CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — UNI softball continued play against Missouri State with game two of the three-game series in Cedar Falls. The Panthers recorded the first run, but gave up 10 unanswered runs to fall to Missouri State by a 10-1 final in five innings.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Panthers got on the board first with a solo home run from Kate Lappe in the top of the fourth inning before 10 unanswered runs from the Bears gave Missouri State a five-inning victory with a 10-1 final score.
Kylee Sanders was the lone Panther with multiple hits with two in the contest. In the circle, Carly Goodwin posted her first loss of her collegiate career in a four-inning start.

The Panthers close the series against Missouri State at Robinson-Dresser Sports Complex on Sunday, April 6. First pitch is scheduled for 12 p.m. CT with the game available to stream on ESPN+.
