UNI men’s golf finishes season with sixth-place finish at MVC Championships

DES MOINES, Iowa --- UNI men's golf concluded its 2025 season with a sixth-place finish at the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Championships on Tuesday following the final round of competition at the Des Moines Golf and Country Club.
Illinois State captured the team title shooting a team score of 285 on Tuesday, finishing the tournament with an 856 (-8), 3 strokes ahead of second place Murray State. Murray State's own Trey Wall took home the individual title shooting a 206 (-10), finishing two strokes ahead of Belmont's Foster Wood.
JD Pollard led Panthers in Tuesday's finale right where he left off, tying the team best round of 72 (E), with five birdies on the day, finishing in fifth place to secure his first top ten finish at the MVC Championships. Pollard was named to the All-MVC Team for his performance this season. Connor VanWeelden and Cooper Hanson finished in a five-way tie for 24th place, both golfers shooting 223 (+7). VanWeelden sank six birdies while Hanson carded eight birdies.
Tanner Dinnebier placed in a three-way tie for 30th with a score of 225 (+9), placing in his best finish at the MVC Championships. Calen Bishop finished in a three-way tie for 40th place shooting 78-74-76 and shooting a total score of 228 (+12), with four birdies to conclude the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Championships.
