Panther wrestling garners fourth straight NWCA Scholar All-America Team honor

MANHEIM, Pa. --- UNI cracked the top-20 in team cumulative grade-point average (GPA), earning National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Team Scholar All-American recognition for a fourth consecutive season.
Recording a team GPA of 3.50, Northern Iowa ranked 16th in Division I wrestling and ranked in the top-30 for the ninth time in team history. UNI is one of seven programs from the Big 12 Conference to earn the honor, joining Cal Baptist (1st - 3.70), Utah Valley (5th - 3.57), North Dakota State (19th - 3.45), Missouri (20th - 3.45), West Virginia (21st - 3.45) and South Dakota State (28th - 3.39).

The announcement of the NWCA Scholar Team All-America honor comes after a program record 12 Panther wrestlers earned individual Scholar All-American recognition on April 2. UNI's 12 selections were most the most in Division I and included eight NCAA qualifiers, two NCAA All-Americans and two Big 12 champions:
