ST. LOUIS --- The Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) on Wednesday morning announced its all-conference teams and speciality award winners for the 2024-25 season ahead of the start of this year's MVC Tournament (commonly known as Arch Madness) in St. Louis.
UNI senior forward Tytan Anderson was named First Team All-MVC by the league, while also being named to the All-Defensive Team. Junior guard Trey Campbell earned his first all-conference nod with a Third Team All-MVC selection.
The MVC's all-conference teams and specialty award winners are voted on by the league's head coaches, sports information directors, media members and conference staff.
Anderson, an Eldridge, Iowa native who on Monday was named the MVC's Scholar-Athlete of the Year and a Scholar-Athlete First Team selection, posted a team-high 15.3 points and 6.5 rebounds per game during the regular season while shooting 57.9% from the field. Leading the Panthers with 18 total blocks, Anderson, the 2023 MVC Most Improved Team captain and two-time MVC Honor Roll recipient, is also the conference's leader in made free throws and free throw attempts. Anderson was named the MVC Player of the Week of Dec. 30, 2024 and notably scored a career-high 27 points at both Valparaiso and Belmont this season. He has notched five games with 20+ points this year and has scored in double-digit figures in all but four contests this year, having scored at least one point in his last 96 games dating back to the 2022-23 season.
Campbell, a native of Cedar Falls, Iowa, has started all 31 games for UNI this season and is averaging a career-high 11.2 points per game of 42.7% shooting with a team-high 66 made three-point shots (42.9%). He also leads the Panthers with 92 assists this year. Campbell has recorded 18 games with ten or more points, most notably scoring a career-high 30 points in UNI's road win at Illinois State in January with a career-best eight made three pointers.
The third-seeded Panthers will open Arch Madness on Friday night at Enterprise Center in St. Louis in the quarterfinal round at 8:30 p.m. CT, facing off against the first-round winner of UIC and Valparaiso. Live coverage of the game can be found on the MVC TV Network and the Panther Sports Radio Network.
