UNI Athletics celebrates December Student-Athletes of the Month

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — UNI Athletics is proud to honor four outstanding student-athletes with Athlete of the Month awards for December 2025.
The award recipients, voted on by members of UNI's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) for their achievements in the month of November, include Leon Bond III (men's basketball), Max Brady (wrestling), Jenna Twedt (women's basketball) and Lindsay Oldendorf (volleyball).
LEON BOND III - Men's Basketball
A Wauwatosa, Wisconsin native, Bond led UNI men's basketball with a team-high 14.1 points per game during the first month of the season, helping the Panthers to victory in their first six games in the program's best start since the 2019-20 season. The redshirt junior scored a season-high 23 points in the season-opener against CSUN and shot 51.4% from the field, as well as 53.8% from three-point range.
MAX BRADY - Wrestling
First-year wrestler Max Brady put on an impressive showing in his first two collegiate competitions at 141 pounds, winning nine of his first ten bouts of the season. Posting seven victories by technical fall, Brady, a Cape Coral, Florida native, won the freshman/sophomore division title at the Grand View Open to kick off his freshman year while also taking second place at the Younes Hospitality Open.
JENNA TWEDT - Women's Basketball
An Atikins, Iowa native and Kirkwood Community College transfer, Twedt averaged 9.5 points per game in the Panthers' first six games of the season. The junior guard scored a season-high 20 points against Northern Arizona in the opening game of the UNLV Thanksgiving Classic in Las Vegas, as well as 14 points in UNI's season-opener vs. North Dakota State. Twedt also notably sank five three-point shots against Northern Arizona.
LINDSAY OLDENDORF - Volleyball
Senior middle blocker Lindsay Oldendorf led the Panthers defense with 41 total blocks in the month of November, played a key role in helping UNI capture its fourth consecutive Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) regular season and tournament titles. The Homer Glen, Illinois native posted a career-high tying nine blocks in five set wins over UIC in the regular season and the MVC Tournament semifinal against Illinois State. Averaging 1.32 kills per set during the month, Oldendorf also earned Second Team All-MVC honors on the year.
