Cassidy Hartman earns second MVC Player of the Week honor

North Liberty native posted double-double performances against Drake and Murray State.
ST. LOUIS --- For the second time this season, UNI volleyball's Cassidy Hartman has been named the Missouri Valley Conference's (MVC) Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
A North Liberty, Iowa native, Hartman's honor comes after she posted a pair of double-double performances last week in Northern Iowa's win at Drake and the Panthers' three-set sweep over Murray State during homecoming weekend.
Against the Bulldogs, Hartman tied her career-high with 23 terminations, 12 digs and six blocks, while posting 14 kills, 11 digs and three blocks against the Racers, leading the Panthers in kills in both contests. She also notched a hitting percentage of .325.
Hartman ranks second in the MVC with 3.87 kills per set and has tallied 11 matches in 2025 with ten or more kills, along with seven double-doubles this season. She leads the UNI roster with 209 total terminations on the year, plus seven service aces, 161 digs and 26 total blocks.
In addition to Hartman being named MVC Player of the Week, Valparaiso's Emma Hickey was named the MVC's Defensive Player of the Week, with Illinois State's Ella Craggs earning MVC Freshman of the Week honors.
Hartman and the Panthers return to action on Friday, Oct. 10 when they host the Evansville Purple Aces. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT inside the McLeod Center with live coverage available on ESPN+ and the Panther Sports Radio Network (106.5 FM Corn Country / 93.5 HD-2).Â
