CEDAR FALLS, Iowa --- Fresh off its biggest dual win of the season, the UNI wrestling team turns its attention back to the UNI-Dome for the second time this season for the 2025 National Wrestling Coaches Association's (NWCA) Multi-Division Dual Meet Championships, hosted by the NWCA.
Panther fans can catch all the action of the dual championships on FloWrestling, with live results also available on TrackWrestling.Â
Tickets can be purchased through the UNI Ticket Office, by calling 319-273-4849 or through email at tickets@uni.edu. Ticket packages include single-day passes for either Friday or Saturday for $45, or a weekend pass for both days for $70.Â
Spectators can enter the UNI-Dome through the southwest entrance, with the ticket office in the Hall of Fame Connector also open. Fans are also reminded to adhere to UNI's clear bag policy for the duration of the event. Additional information for fans about game day policies and procedures can be found online HERE.
The event, which will feature over 100 collegiate teams across six divisions, includes 14 Division I men's programs, including multiple teams ranked in the NWCA's top-25 poll as well as a trio of Big 12 rivals. UNI, registering a seventh in the nation ranking, its highest in 11 years, will be the top seed for the Division I men's field that includes Cal Poly, CSU Bakersfield, Central Michigan, Drexel, George Mason, Ohio, Sacred Heart, South Dakota State, SIU Edwardsville, Northern Colorado, Penn and Wyoming.
Northern Iowa, which is both hosting and competing in the event for the first time since 2011, will open the dual championships against Sacred Heart in the first round on Friday morning at 10 a.m. CT, followed by a matchup with wither Penn or Ohio. Click HERE to see the full bracket and schedule for the Division I men's field.
The Panthers will look to ride the momentum of an unbeaten dual record off their latest victory on Sunday over then No. 4 Nebraska at home, its first against the Cornhuskers since 1991. UNI secured wins in seven out ten bouts, which included four wins over top-five ranked challengers. Trever Anderson (125 pounds), the reigning Big 12 Wrestler of the Week, scored his second career win over a top-five opponent with a 5-2 decision over No. 5 Caleb Smith, while Cael Happel (141 pounds) defeated No. 5 Brock Hardy for the third time in his career. Ryder Downey (165 pounds) avenged a loss to No. 3 Antrell Taylor from just last month in Las Vegas, as Parker Keckeisen (184 pounds) pinned No. 5 Silas Allred.
