Reigning national champion scored his second top-ten win of the season last week against Missouri.
IRVING, Tex. --- UNI's Parker Keckeisen has been named the Big 12 Conference's Wrestler of the Week, as announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon. The selection is the fourth time that the Panther standout has received the honor, and first time this year.
Keckeisen's selection comes after the Panther redshirt senior posted another dominant performance on the mat in UNI's dual against then 15th ranked Missouri last week in Wisconsin. The 2024 NCAA champion notched a win over eighth-ranked Colton Hawks in a 17-4 major decision in Hartland, Wisconsin last Tuesday, extending his regular season winning streak to 33 matches.
A four-time All-American and Glendale, Wisconsin native, Keckeisen has notched 26 career victories over top-ten ranked challengers. He also improved his own school record career winning percentage to .955 with his 106th victory. Keckeisen has never lost a match in his career in bonus points.
Keckeisen is the son of James and Lynne Keckeisen, and younger brother of Emma and Hannah. He is currently majoring in construction management with minors in coaching and strength and conditioning.
Keckeisen and the tenth-ranked Panthers return to action this weekend at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational in Las Vegas, Nevada. Live coverage of the two-day event can be found on FloWrestling.
