Panther softball announces 2025 signing class

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — The UNI softball team and head coach Ryan Jacobs are proud to announce the signing of five athletes to the 2025 class.
"After an extensive search for the best talent in Iowa and the Midwest, we are proud to welcome a group of exceptional athletes who embody our values and commitment to excellence," said head coach Ryan Jacobs. "The 2025 recruiting class presented some challenges in meeting all the program's needs, but what stands out about this group is how much Iowa High School State Tournament experience and success they have had. The time, effort, planning, and mileage involved in recruiting a class like this requires a tremendous commitment from our team and coaching staff. As always, there's a lot of time away from family, but the recruiting process remains a top priority for us. This dedication is evident in the discipline, diligence, and passion displayed by everyone involved. Recruiting such a talented and large class wouldn't be possible without the exceptional efforts of Coach Wright and our entire staff. I truly enjoy working with them on the recruiting trail to bring in the best prospects for our program."

FINLEY NETTEN
Van Meter, Iowa | Van Meter HS (Utility Infielder/Outfielder
Finley is a fierce competitor who will bring a strong sense of toughness to the UNI Softball Program. Her speed and ability to get on base allow her to apply pressure on defenses in various ways. As a standout multi-sport athlete, her time devoted to softball was limited, making her potential for growth in the sport even more exciting.
ASHLYN ENKE
Jefferson, Wis. | Jefferson HS (RH Pitcher)
Ashlyn is a well-rounded pitcher known for her impressive spin and movement. She will add leadership and confidence in the circle, and her untapped potential is incredibly promising.
NEELA APPLEGATE
Earlham, Iowa | Winterset HS (Utility Infielder)
Neela is a high-energy player with a powerful swing. Her excellent approach at the plate will add significant pop to our lineup, and her athleticism allows her to excel in multiple positions on the field.
BRYNN ACTON
Winterset, Iowa | Winterset HS (Utility Infielder)
Brynn has shown remarkable growth each season, showcasing tremendous athletic ability and natural skills that will aid her development at the next level. Her great hand-eye coordination makes her a consistent hitter.
MADDIE GULLION
Norwalk, Iowa | Norwalk HS (Outfielder)
Maddie is a dedicated and passionate softball player. Her athleticism allows her to play anywhere the team needs her, and we are excited about her potential and the contributions she will make to the Panther Softball Program.
These talented individuals bring skill and passion to our program, and we can't wait to see them in action. Their dedication and hard work have already impressed us, and we are excited for the contributions they will make to our team.
