
Lee Jensen hired as Assistant Equipment Manager for UNI Athletics

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa --- UNI Athletics on Tuesday announced the hiring of Lee Jensen as its Assistant Equipment Manager.
In this role, Jensen will assist in the functions of UNI's athletic equipment room by helping keep inventory of equipment for all Panther sports, ensure athletic equipment meets proper fitting for athletes and meets NCAA safety standards and compliance and assist in equipment repair and maintenance.
Jensen, a Waterloo, Iowa and former standout hockey player for the Waterloo Warriors as part of its 2012 national high school runner-up team, first got involved with UNI Athletics in the spring of 2021 as a football game day operations assistant. In his time with the Panther football team, he helped setup headset communication, locker room and field set up and tear down, pregame warmups, postgame laundry and assisted with helmet repairs and the transportation of team equipment for road games.
Jensen previously worked as a project coordinator of Freed Construction, supervising roofing and siding crews, ordering materials as needed and helping insure projects were completed in a timely manner. He also spent five years as a manager at Palace Clothiers in Cedar Falls, selling and tailoring clothing, managing wedding and prom orders, tracking inventory, working one-on-one with customers to meet their needs and participating in trade shows.
Jensen currently resides in Cedar Falls with his wife, Lauren.
