UNI lands ten on CSC Academic All-District Team for track and field, cross country

GREENWOOD, Ind. --- Ten members of the UNI track and field/cross country program were honored for their academic excellence on Wednesday, picking up College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honors.
This year's track and field/cross country selections include Brady Griebel, Chase Knoche, Payton Marrs, Caleb Shumaker, Kyle Trunnell, Lydia Berns-Schweingruber, Kate Crawford, Isabelle Holtzen, Lauren Klein and Makenna Wilson.Â
The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
CSC sponsors Academic All-America recognition for men's soccer, women's soccer, football, volleyball, men's basketball, women's basketball, men's swimming & diving, women's swimming & diving, men's tennis, women's tennis, baseball, softball and men's and women's track and field/cross country. At-large berths are up for grabs from those student-athletes competing in wrestling, golf, lacrosse, rowing, gymnastics, and numerous other NCAA-sponsored sports.
Academic All-District honorees automatically advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in late June.

ABOUT COLLEGE SPORTS COMMUNICATORS
College Sports Communicators was founded in 1957 and is a 3,200+ member national association for strategic, creative and digital communicators across intercollegiate athletics in the United States and Canada.Â
From its founding in 1957 until the 2022 name change, the organization was known as College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
The organization, which celebrated its 65th year during the 2021-22 academic year, is the second oldest management association in all of intercollegiate athletics. College Sports Communicators became an affiliated partner with NACDA (National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics) in December of 2008.
