Record breaking January performances headline UNI student-athlete honors

Anderson, Keckeisen, Hogan and Santi named SAAC Student-Athletes of the Month for February
CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – UNI Athletics is proud to present four outstanding athletes with Athlete of the Month awards for February.
The award recipients, voted on by members of UNI's Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) include Rylan Santi (women's track and field, Taylor Hogan (swimming & diving), Tytan Anderson (men's basketball) and Parker Keckeisen (wrestling).
Tytan Anderson - Men's Basketball - Eldridge, Iowa - North Scott HS
Anderson set a new career-high with an 18 rebound performance on Jan. 10 in the Panthers' 75-67 home win over Murray State, setting a new program record for single-game rebounds against a Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) opponent. He also tied the school record for most rebounds in a home game. The Eldridge, Iowa native leads the league in total rebounds, rebounds per game and defensive rebounds, while totalling a league best 9 double-doubles this season. Anderson is the son of Tim and Tiffany Anderson. He is a sophomore majoring in management, in business management.
Parker Keckeisen- Wrestling - Glendale, Wisc. - Nicolet HS
Ranked No. 1 in the nation in the official NCAA rankings, Keckeisen went undefeated in January with a perfect 5-0 mark, which included a pair of pins against Wyoming and Utah Valley, as well as a major decision against Oklahoma State. Sitting at 15-1 on the season, Keckeisen picked up his 60th career win in the Panthers' dual win at Utah Valley. He is also ranked No. 2 in the country in the Intermat and FloWrestling rankings. A redshirt sophomore majoring in construction management, Keckeisen is the son of Lynne and James Keckeisen.
Taylor Hogan - Swimming & Diving – Waterloo, Iowa – Waterloo Columbus HS
A two-sport athlete as a diver and second baseman for the UNI softball team, Hogan notched consecutive career-best scores on the one-meter springboard in back-to-back meets against Illinois State on Jan. 13-14 (262.73) and Iowa State/West Virginia on Jan. 21 (270.70). Her performance against the Cyclones and Mountaineers was the 6th highest one-meter score in school history and qualifies her for the NCAA Diving Zones meet in March. The senior from Waterloo, Iowa is the daughter of Pat and Kari Hogan, and is majoring in communication sciences and disorders with a minor in biology.
Rylan Santi - Women's Track & Field - Madrid, Iowa - Madrid HS
Santi earned a pair of 3rd place finishes in the 60-meter dash at the Hawkeye Invitational and Larry Wieczorek Invitational in Iowa City in January with record-setting speed. Her preliminary time of 7.49 seconds at the Larry Wieczorek Invitational broke UNI's 23-year old school record held by Melissa Campbell since 2000 by 0.01 seconds. Santi is a redshirt senior and the daughter of Tami and Ryan Santi.
