Panther tennis wins shortened dual with Omaha, 4-0

UNI closes three-meet in five-day span with two wins. Panthers visit Wisconsin-Whitewater and Milwaukee late next week.
WATERLOO, Iowa --- UNI tennis closed out a three-meet homestand on Tuesday afternoon as the Panthers clinched a shortened dual in 4-0 sweep over the Omaha Mavericks inside the Black Hawk Tennis Club.
The Panthers' continued to show improvement in doubles play as Andrijana Brkic and Kim Zizek grabbed their second win as a pair together in a 6-3 win over Zoe Adkins and Keegan VanPelt. Thaissa Moreira and Issa Sullivan moved to 2-1 on the season together with a 6-3 victory over Addison Miller and Alexia Di Guilio, clinching the doubles for UNI.
In singles competition, Zizek jumped ahead quickly and didn't look back as the junior picked up a 6-0, 6-2 win over Miller. Darta Dalecka earned her first win of the year at the no. 1 singles spot with a 6-3, 6-3 sweep of Jessica Aragon, while Lorena Cardoso clinched the meet for the Panthers in a hotly contested 7-5, 6-4 victory against Ines Absisan.
