
UNI women's tennis to honor seniors at final home match

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - UNI women's tennis is set to host its final two home matches this weekend.Â
The first match against Bradley set for 11 a.m. Saturday will be played indoors at the Black Hawk Tennis Club in Waterloo, Iowa. The location for Sunday's match against Illinois State is still to be determined. UNI's outdoor location is on campus near the Nielsen Field House.Â
The Panthers (4-10 overall / 0-2 MVC) are looking for their first Missouri Valley Conference win this weekend. Bradley is 7-11 overall and 1-1 in the MVC while Illinois State is undefeated in the conference at 2-0 with a 12-5 overall record.Â
Bradley was picked to finish third in the conference while Illinois State was the preseason favorite in the MVC.Â
The Panthers will honor two Panthers Sunday on Senior Day. Olivia Fain and Emma Carr are wrapping up their UNI careers.Â
Olivia Fain won the MVC Championships in doubles action in flight 3 in the 2019 fall season. She is the daughter of Michael and Kathryn and will graduate with a degree in biology. She has already been accepted into the University of Iowa's master's program for athletic training, where she will attend next year. Fain is a Waterloo, Iowa, native and attended Columbus High School.Â
Emma Carr is graduating early and using the extended COVID-19 season to compete as a graduate student. Carr is the daughter of Mark and Bryan and majored in biology. She is from Dallas, Texas and attended Hockaday High School.
