AJ Green earns CoSIDA Academic All-District honors

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa --- UNI men's basketball guard AJ Green has been selected to CoSIDA's 2021-22 Academic All-District Team, as announced by CoSIDA on Thursday. The 2021-22 Academic All-District Team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
Green, a junior studying Movement and Exercise Science and Sports Psychology, has posted 3.67 cumulative grade point average. The Cedar Falls, Iowa native previously earned the honor during his sophomore season in 2019-20.
Green joins four other selections from CoSIDA's District 6, including Josh Bannan (Montana), Matt Dentlinger (South Dakota State), Gibson Jimerson (Saint Louis) and Rocky Kreuser (North Dakota State).
The CoSIDA Academic All-America program recognizes basketball honorees across four divisions --- NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and the NAIA.
First-Team Academic All-District honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot. The results of the Academic All-America ballot will be announced on March 15.
