
Men’s golf finishes in 8th place at the Zach Johnson Invitational

DES MOINES, Iowa - The UNI men's golf team competed in the Zach Johnson Invitational held at Glen Oaks Country Club earlier this week.
The men played 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday. The Panthers finished in 8th place out of 15 teams, shooting scores of 292, 296, and 292 for a 54-hole total of 880.

Leading the Panthers in Des Moines was Griffin Parker. Parker shot rounds of 73 and 71 Monday, and fired a 67 (-4) on Tuesday to shoot a total of 211 and finish tied for 6th individually. Thomas Storbeck shot rounds of 69-73-77 to shoot a 217 and finish tied for 16th. Jack Moody carded a 54-hole score of 227, Ben Bermel shot a 228, and Tommy Doyle carded a 230.
Next up for the Panthers is the Stampede at the Creek tournament hosted by the University of Omaha Nebraska. Play will begin Monday, October 4th, and conclude Tuesday, October 5th.
