Kerkhoff Makes Paralympic Debut

Tokyo, Japan - UNI's Erin Kerkhoff is set to make her Paralympic debut on August 30, 2021 (September 1st, 2021 in Tokyo). Kerkhoff will compete in the 100m Prelims at 8:30pm CST in the T13 category. If Kerkhoff advances to finals in the 100m, she will compete on August 31st, 2021 (September 2nd in Tokyo) at 6:10am CST.Â
The Iowa native will also compete in the 400m Prelims, set to run at 7:20 am CST on Thursday September 2nd (September 4th in Tokyo). Finals will commence on Friday September 3rd, 2021 (September 5th in Tokyo) at 8:08 pm CST. Kerkhoff will compete in the T13 category for this event as well.Â
Kerkhoff's recorded time in the 400m clocked at 58.23 placing her second in the trials by a tenth of a second behind 1st place (58.12). Kerkhoff's 100m recorded time at the Paralympic trials clocked in at 12.89 placing second.Â
Live streams can be found on NBC and NBC.com at 8:30pm CST. The amount taken to finals will be determined based on the amount of entries. The Paralympics will be appearing on NBC from August 24th-September 5th.Â
