Men's Basketball Add Home and Home Series with St. Bonaventure

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – UNI men's basketball has added a home and home series with St. Bonaventure set to be played in 2021-22 and 2022-23.
The Panthers will travel to St. Bonaventure on Saturday, Nov 27 for a 1 pm game in the Reilly Center this coming season. The two teams have yet to agree on a return date for the 2022-23 season. Ticket and broadcast information will be released at a later date.
The two teams have competed just twice with the Bonnies coming out on top in both games back in the 1992-93 and 1993-94 home and home series. The Bonnies return their entire starting lineup from last year's Atlantic 10 Championship team.
Point guard Kyle Lofton (14.4 ppg, 5.5 apg) is back after consecutive seasons of being named First Team All-Atlantic 10. Osun Osunniyi (10.7 ppg, 9.4 rpg, 2.8 bpg) earned A-10 Defensive Player of the Year and Tournament MVP honors while Jaren Holmes (13.8 ppg, 5.3) also received All-Conference recognition last year. Fellow seniors Dominick Welch (11.4 ppg, 6.0 rpg) and Jalen Adaway (12.2 ppg, 6.0 rpg) complete a very talented returning lineup.
