Adara Opiola Earns MVC Postgraduate Scholarship

MVC Postgraduate Scholarships 2021

ST. LOUIS – UNI's Adara Opiola has been selected by the MVC Faculty Athletic Representatives Committee as one of four student athletes to receive postgraduate scholarships. Opiola will receive a $5,000 postgraduate scholarship from the Missouri Valley Conference.

Opiola earned First Team All-MVC and MVC First Team Scholar Athlete honors in 2021. The standout DP was named to the MVC All-Tournament Team and earned NFCA Third Team All-District recognition as a redshirt senior. Opiola has a 4.00 cumulative GPA in graduate school, working on a degree in Gerontology: Social Sciences while earning her bachelors degree in Political Science with 3 separate minors.

Opiola is a 3 time recipient of the MVC Commissioners Academic Excellence award (2018, 2019, 2020) and was a 2020 recipient of the MVC President's Academic Excellence Award. Opiola plans to attend the University of Iowa Law School where she will pursue her juris doctorate degree.
