Panther Golf Host UNI Spring Invite

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - The UNI Panther's men and women golf team are competing at the UNI Spring Invite this weekend at their home course, Pheasant Ridge. This will be the men's first tournament since competing in Springfield, Missouri two weeks ago. For the women, they are coming off winning the Indiana State Invite last weekend and hope that momentum carries over into the next few days.
For the men's playing field, it will consist of four teams including Western Illinois, Green Bay, Wartburg and Northern Iowa. The women's competition will include Western Illinois, Green Bay, Drake, University of Iowa, and Northern Iowa. Day one will be 36 holes and then day two will be 18 holes. There will be an 8:30 a.m. shotgun for both days and this will be a stroke play event for the women and match play for the men. The women will have final results posted to Golfstat.com.
Following this tournament, the men and women will also compete on April 12-13 at Omaha, Nebraska in the Stampede at The Creek hosted by Omaha Athletics. . This tournament will also be 36 holes day one and then 18 the next with tee times starting at 9 a.m. Monday and then 8 a.m Tuesday.Â
