UNI Softball Goes 1-1 Against Bradley

Cedar Falls, Iowa – UNI Softball finished 1-1 on Saturday, April 24th losing against the Braves of Bradley 6-3 in game one and winning 4-1 in game two.
Game 1 | UNI 3, Bradley 6
The Panthers scored three runs on six hits and committed two errors. Bradley scored five quick runs in the first four innings, two in the 1st inning and three in the 4th. UNI would try to answer scoring one run a piece in the 5th, 6th, and 7th inning but came up short as they fell to the Braves 6-3.
Junior Erica Oler got the start in the circle for the Panthers going two innings giving up two earned runs, walking two and striking out one. Hailey Sanders would come in to relieve Oler in the top of the 3rd inning with the score 2-0. Sanders went three innings giving up four earned runs, four hits, walked one and struck out two. Samantha Heyer came in to finish things for the Panthers in the top of the 6th inning. Heyer went the rest of the game giving up only two hits and striking out two.
At the plate Freshman Emmy Wells and Brooke Snider have the Panthers a spark. Wells went 1-for-2 with one double and scored one run. Snider went 1-for-3 with one home run, one RBI and scored one run for UNI. Adara Opiola, Daryn Lamprecht, Taylor Hogan, and Madison Parks each recorded one hit a piece as well.
Game 2 - UNI 4, Bradley 1
The Panthers scored four runs on five hits and committed zero errors.
UNI got on the board first in the bottom of the 1st inning when Daryn Lamprecht hit a two-run home run to right center field making the score 2-0. Bradley would answer in the next inning scoring one run of their own that would end up being their lone run of the game with the score (2-1). The Panthers would score again in the 3rd inning from a sac fly from Emmy Wells that scored Sammey Bunch (3-1) and again in the 5th inning when Emmy Wells hit a double to right center scoring Madison Parks for the final score of 4-1.
In the circle, Kailyn Packard pitched a complete game. Packard went seven innings giving up six hits, one run, walked one and struck out seven. Kailyn Packard (15-5) picked up the win.
At the plate the Panthers were led by Freshman Emmy Wells and Daryn Lamprecht. Wells went 1-for-2 with one double and two RBI's. Lamprecht went 1-for-3 with one home run, two RBI's, and scored one run.
