Johnnie Hill and Lizzie Mewes Named First Team Scholar Athlete

ST. LOUIS – UNI's Johnnie Hill and Lizzie Mewes are named first team scholar athletes by the Missouri Valley Conference as announced by the conference office on Thursday afternoon.

Johnnie Hill earns first team scholar athlete honors with a 3.69 cumulative GPA in Family Services. Hill is a 5 time member of the UNI Deans List and has made the UNI AD's Honor Roll 6 semesters. Hill was a recipient of the 2018-19 and 2019-20 MVC Commissioner's Academic Excellence award. Hill started every game this season and recorded a team high 16 shots with 5 shots on goal.

Lizzie Mewes earns first team scholar athlete honors in her first year of eligibility after posting a 4.00 cumulative GPA in Biology. Mewes is a 3 time member of the UNI Deans List and has made the UNI AD's honor roll all three semesters. Mewes started every game this season and recorded 9 shots with 5 shots on goal. The sophomore is part of the Panther defensive unit that has only surrendered 5 goals on the season and recorded 6 shutouts. Mewes was named a Honorable Mention All-Conference midfielder.
