Sammey Bunch Earns MVC Player of the Week Honors

ST. LOUIS – The Missouri Valley Conference has named Sammey Bunch the league's Player of the Week after her performance against Valparaiso Apr. 10-11. This is Bunch's 4^th MVC Player of the Week of the 2021 season.

Senior shortstop Sammey Bunch posted a .778 batting average and a 1.889 slugging percentage over three games against Valparaiso. Bunch went 7-for-9 with three home runs, one double, eight RBI's, scored five runs, tagged a team high seventeen bases, and drew three walks for the Panthers. In the second game of the Sunday's double header, Bunch ended the game going 3-for-3 hitting home runs in back-to-back plate appearances in the 1^st and 3^rd inning. Bunch would then double to right center in the 4^th inning and was walked in the 6^th inning.
