Three Panthers Named to MVC Scholar Athlete Teams

ST. LOUIS – Three Panther volleyball players have been honored with Scholar Athlete designation as announced by the Missouri Valley Conference office on Tuesday morning. UNI's Inga Rotto has been named a First Team Scholar Athlete while Baylee Petersen and Emily Holterhuas have earned Honorable Mention honors.

Junior Inga Rotto has been named to the First Team for the first time in her career, earning honorable mention honors as a sophomore. Rotto was the Elite 17 recipient in the 2019 MVC Championships. The Ames, Iowa product has a 3.97 cumulative GPA in Math and Economics.

Baylee Petersen and Emily Holterhaus have earned scholar athlete honors for the first time in their careers. Petersen has a 3.86 cumulative GPA in Biology while Holterhaus has a 3.76 cumulative GPA in Movement and Exercise Science.

The Panthers will be back in action on Thursday when they take on the Drake Bulldogs in quarterfinal action on the MVC Championship. UNI and Drake will begin at 5pm on ESPN+.
