UNI vs. Loyola | Nov. 20 | 6 pm (News/Talk 1540 KXEL | ESPN3)

The Panthers:
- UNI will host the Valparaiso Beacons and the Loyola Ramblers to end the regular season. Kat Barr and Jenna Brandt will be recognized for Senior Night this Saturday.
Â
- The Panthers are battling with the Evansville Purple Aces and the Indiana State Sycamores for the final two spots in the Missouri Valley Conference Volleyball Championship. UNI hopes to secure a record-extending 37th consecutive berth for the league tournament.
Â
- UNI is coming off a 3-2 win Saturday at Evansville. The Panthers now have two victories (at Drake, at Evansville) when facing at least one opposing match point in the same year for the first time since 2001 (vs. Missouri State (MVC Championship), Minnesota (NCAA Second Round)).
Â
- Kira Fallert is the MVC Freshman of the Week after collecting 3.70 kills per set with .312 hitting last week. Her 25 kills on a .524 attack percentage at Evansville represent the best termination total by any Panther freshman in a match in the 25-point rally-scoring era (2008 to present).
Â
- Tayler Alden tops UNI with 34 service aces after a career-high-tying five service winners Saturday. She tied the program's 25-point rally-scoring-era record that she previously matched last season. Alden shares the record with Baylee Petersen, Karlie Taylor, Bre Payton, Kayla Grunder, and Chelsea Saunders.
Â
- Carly Spies ranks second in MVC-only hitting (.341) and posted a .442 clip last weekend with a personal-high 17 kills Friday at Indiana State. She also owns a career-best 110 blocks and is the first Panther to tally at least 100 rejections in a season since Piper Thomas in 2017 (119).
Â
- Payton Ahrenstorff led the entire conference with 42 digs last week featuring a career-high 23 digs in Saturday's win at Evansville. She notched multiple aces in each match on the road trip to boost her season total to 20 aces.
Â
- Inga Rotto (120), Kaylissa Arndorfer (86), and Emily Holterhaus (86) are on consecutive contest playing streaks to begin their college careers.
- UNI returns 13 women that were with the program for the spring season including 2020-21 All-MVC honorees Emily Holterhaus (First Team), Inga Rotto (Second Team), and Tayler Alden (All-Freshman Team).
- Despite the challenges of the delayed 2020 campaign, the Panthers still qualified for the MVC Championship and made it to the league semifinals. UNI has earned tournament bids and semifinal berths for a league-record 36 seasons in a row.
