UNI Women's Basketball Travels to Terre Haute for Next MVC Matchup

The UNI women's basketball team travels to Terre Haute, Ind. on Jan. 22 and 23, to play the Indiana State Sycamores in their fourth MVC series play.
• The Panthers played the Missouri State Lady Bears at the McLeod Center on Jan. 15th and 16th. Missouri State came out on top in both games but the Panthers cut the second game to only a four-point deficit.
• Kam Finley had a great series against the Lady Bears. She recorded a new career-high of three blocks on Jan. 15 and scored a game-high of 21 points on Jan. 16.
• The Indiana State Sycamores last played on Jan. 15th and 16th against Drake University. They lost both games by a deficit of 50 points on Jan. 15 and 40 points on the 16th.
• Marie Hunter scored big both nights for the Sycamores. She led the team in points on Jan. 15. Teammates Adrian Folks and Jamyra McChristine scored 12 points along with Hunter against Drake on the 16th.
• McChristine for the Sycamores has recorded double figures in the three games this season in rebounds. Two of those resulting in double-doubles against Xavier (Dec. 12, 2020) and most recently against Drake (Jan. 16, 2021).
• Cynthia Wolf and Bre Gunnels both recorded seven rebounds during the series against Missouri State. Wolf has now recorded more than five rebounds in six of the games played this season.
• UNI is ranked 11th as a team for Free-Throws Attempted and 9th for Free-Throws Made.
• Megan Maahs is eight points away from the 1,000 point club and is 15 rebounds away from the No. 2 spot on the all-time rebound list.
• Karli Rucker surpassed former teammate Ellie Howell and claimed the No. 13 spot on the All-Time Scoring list. Rucker has recorded a total of 1,217 points as a Panther.
• Indiana State comes into the series with only one conference win back on Jan. 1, 2021 against Loyola Chicago. This was the first conference game for Loyola and Indiana State. Indiana State has yet to win another conference game.
• UNI is tied with Illinois State in the MVC Standings. Both are 3-3 in conference play. Leading the conference is Missouri State after the series against the Panthers and Evansville is 0-6 for conference play in the 2020-21 season.
