Trae Berhow Named to MVC Most Improved Team

ST. LOUIS – UNI's Trae Berhow has been named to the MVC Most Improved Team as announced by the conference office on Wednesday morning.
Berhow has been one of the most electric players on the Panther roster this season, frequently making big shots in conference play. Berhow finished the 2018-19 season shooting 41.9 percent, hauled in 6.1 rebounds per game, and averaged 7.7 points per game. The Mayer, Minnesota product finished the 2019-20 regular season shooting 50.6 percent from the field, 45.2 percent from beyond the arc, and averaging 13.0 points per game to earn a spot on the Most Improved Team.
Berhow scored in double digits 19 times this season compared to just three time in the 2018-19 season. The junior guard ranks fourth in the MVC with 2.3 three pointers made per game, eleventh in rebounds per game and twelfth in points per game. Berhow dropped a career high 36 points against UT Martin, finishing 13-17 from the field and 8-11 from beyond the arc.
Berhow becomes the eighth Panther to land on the Most Improved Team under Jacobson, joining Luke McDonnell (2019), Bennett Koch (2016), Marvin Singleton (2015), Matt Bohannon (2014) Nate Buss (2014), Anthony James (2011), and Kwadzo Ahelegbe (2009).
