UNI Women's Soccer Announces MVC Schedule

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - The Missouri Valley Conference has announced the start date and tournament date for the 2021 spring women's soccer schedule.
The official start date for the MVC regular season will be February 27 and will conclude on April 7. The Missouri Valley Conference Tournament is scheduled to begin April 10-11 with the championship game being played on April 17.
The Panthers will play an 8 game conference schedule with two games played on Wednesdays, one game played on Thursday, two games played on Friday, one game played on Saturday, and two games played on Sunday. All home games will be played at Memorial Stadium in Waterloo, Iowa.
The Panthers will open the conference schedule with a road trip to Evansville for a 5 PM start on Friday, March 5. UNI will host Loyola on Wednesday, March 10 and Missouri State on Saturday, March 13.
UNI will travel to Carbondale, Illinois for a 7 PM game against Southern Illinois on March 19 and travel to Illinois State on March 25 to play the Redbirds at 4 PM. The Panthers host Valparaiso on March 28 and travel to Indiana State on April 4. UNI will close the regular season at home against in-state rival Drake on April 7.
The MVC Tournament is scheduled to begin with first round games being played April 10-11 with semifinal games being played April 14 and concluding with the championship game on April 17.
Head coach Bruce Erickson begins his fourth season with the Panthers in 2020-21. Erickson will look to build of last season's 5-11 record. The Panthers return 2019 All-Freshman Team member Lizzie Mewes to lead a Panther team with many new faces.
The University of Northern Iowa and the Athletics Department continue to monitor COVID-19 pandemic and will be announcing game day and fan seating plans in the future.
