THE SERIES
The Panthers open the weekend with the Roos of UMKC. The Panthers hold a 6-2-1 overall record against UMKC but fell in the team's last meeting back in 2017 in a five set thriller. The Tigers of Missouri are off to a 4-0 start to the year. The Panthers 11-5-3 record against the Tigers and won the last match in 2017. Boise State and UNI have only played two times in program history, splitting the contests 1-1 while the Panthers hold a 2-0 record against Austin Peay.

THE PANTHERS
•The Panthers have lost 4 straight matches for the first time since 2014, the Panthers finished the 2014 season 21-11.

• Karlie Taylor has been heavily featured in the early matches of 2019. Taylor recorded 78 attacks against Creighton ranking 3rd in UNI history for a 5 set match, and finished with 71 attacks against Iowa State, ranking T-4th for a 4 set match.

• Jaydlin Seehase found the floor for the first time in 2019, the returning Second Team All-MVC selection had been nursing an upper body injury early in the season.

• The Panthers return five starters including First Team All-MVC selections Rachel Koop and Karlie Taylor and Second Team All-MVC selections Kate Busswitz and Jaydlin Seehase.

• Bobbi Petersen enters the season with a career 485-151 record, 15 wins away from 500 and 18 wins away from becoming the UNI all-time wins leader. Bobbi Petersen's 485 wins ranks 28th in NCAA Division I coaching victories. Petersen's .763 winning percentage is the 8th highest among active Division I coaches.

• The Panthers earned their 10th AVCA Academic Award in the 2018-19 season with a 3.41 team cumulative GPA.

• Rachel Koop returns to set the Panther offense after averaging 11.97 assist per set in 2018, leading the conference and ranking 5th nationally. Rachel Koop ranks 10th in career assists per set with a 9.19 average.

• Karlie Taylor returns for her senior season after recording 4.77 kills per set in 2018, ranking 6th nationally. Karlie Taylor ranks 2nd all-time at UNI in kills per set with a career average of 3.86. Taylor is the only player in UNI history to record multiple 500 kill seasons.
