WATERLOO, Iowa - The University of Northern Iowa women's soccer beat Chicago State in a 5-0 shutout game at home.
Jamie Althiser started the game off strong with a goal in the 3rd minute, with an assist to Madalyn Germann. Sydney Hayden followed shortly with a goal in the 7th minute with assists from Johnnie Hill and Jordyn Rolli. Rolli ended the first half with a goal in the 38th minute with an assist to Sophia Conant.
Germann started the second half off strong with a goal on a penalty kick in the 49th minute. Conant ended the half with an unassisted goal in the 87th minute.
The Panthers gathered 17 shots, with 11 on goal. Anna Kaiser had 2 saves, facing 12 Cougar shots, only 3 being on goal.
UNI travels to Iowa City Sunday, August 25th to play the Hawkeyes at 1 p.m.
