Carnes, Wilson Slated to Compete at USAT&F Championship

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – A pair of UNI alumni are slated to compete at the USA Track & Field Championship this week in Des Moines.
Brandon Carnes, the former "Fastest Man in the Valley," competes in the 100-meter dash, beginning with the first round Thursday at 5:05 p.m. Panther distance coach Alexina Wilson competes Friday in the first round of 3,000-meter steeplechase at 4:57.
The semifinal of the 100-meter dash is 6:02 p.m. Friday and the Nike 100-meter final will take place at 7:53 Friday evening.
The Nike 3,000-meter steeplechase final is scheduled for 6:09 p.m. Sunday.
NBC Sports Gold broadcasts Thursday's and Friday's events until 6 p.m. when NBCSN broadcasts the final two hours of competition. NBCSN broadcasts Sunday's steeplechase final.
Carnes is sponsored by Adidas and Wilson is a member of Oiselle's Haute Volee team.
