Harris Appointed to NCAA Division I Council

INDIANAPOLIS – UNI Director of Athletics David Harris has been appointed to the NCAA Division I Council.

The Council is comprised of 40 members and is responsible for the day-to-day decision-making for Division I. The group includes athletics directors, athletics administrators, senior women administrators, faculty athletics representatives and student-athletes. Every Division I conference is represented on the Council.

"It is a tremendous honor to serve on the Division I Council and represent the Missouri Valley Conference and UNI," Harris said. "I look forward to working with Council members to serve student-athletes across the country and to advance the mission of the NCAA."

His term of service on the committee will begin on July 1, 2019, and continue through June 30, 2023.
