Brad Meester Highlights 11th Annual Rally in the Valley

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – UNI football legend and 14-year NFL vet Brad Meester will be the featured guest at the 11th annual Rally in the Valley scheduled for Sat., April 13, in the McLeod Center.
Cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and the silent auction will begin at 5 p.m. Dinner will begin at 7 p.m. with entertainment and live auction to follow throughout the evening.
Meester was a four-year starter for the Panthers and a two-time All-American selection. He was also a four-year All-Conference performer as a Panther. Meester tallied CoSIDA Academic All-America honors as a senior and was a two-time academic all-district pick.
He remains UNI's NFL draft pick when the Jacksonville Jaguars picked him with the 60th overall pick in the second round of the 2000 draft. Meester is the Jaguars franchise record holder for seasons played (14), games played (209), games started (209) and consecutive games started (92).
He was selected as Jacksonville's recipient of the 2008 Ed Block Courage Award as well as the team's nominee for the 2008 and 2010 Walter Payton Man of the Year Award. Brad retired from the NFL in 2013.
The 2018 Rally in the Valley was a record year as over $264,000 was raised towards student athlete scholarships.
