UNI Swim and Dive Concludes Regular Season Action

IOWA CITY, Iowa— The UNI swimming and diving team concluded the regular season this evening, competing against Iowa and Western Illinois.
Crystal Florman timed in at twenty-three second and forty-three hundredths of a second (23.43) in the 50 freestyle for first-place. Florman clocked in at 50.78 in the 100 freestyle for second-place.
Katie Taylor led all competitors for the 100 IM, clocking in at 56.81. Taylor swam a 54.88 in the 100 backstroke, swimming into first-place.
Moriah Ross led all competitors in the 100 breaststroke, swimming a 1:04.03. Ross timed in at 59.56 for third-place in the 100 IM.
Taylor, Florman, Lauren Kacmarynski, and Abby Meyer finished in second place in the 200 freestyle relay, timing in at 1:35.50. The Panther relay team of Madison Rinaldi, Lauren Havertape, Kelsey Ostrowski, and Kacmarynski took third in the 200 medley relay, swimming a combined time of 1:49.52.
Jordan McCullough and Kylie Engstrom finished back-to-back in the 200 and 500 freestyle. McCullough swam a 1:57.38 for third-place in the 200 freestyle, while Engstrom timed in at 1:57.55 in the same event. In the 500 freestyle, McCullough swam a 5:10.43 for third-place. Engstrom swam a 5:11.94 for fourth-place in the event. Â
Ostrowski timed in at 59.54 for fourth-place in the 100 butterfly. Rachelle Houlette swam a 1:00.81, while Havertape timed in at 1:01.42 in the event.
Rinaldi timed in at 59.14 in the 100 backstroke, swimming into fourth-place.
In the diving well, Jayden Lovell led the Panthers on the 1-meter boards. Lovell earned a 236.55 for second-place. Alyssa Deuso dove a 225.10 for third-place on the 1-meter boards, while Mary Kate Ferlmann dove a 221.30 for fourth-place. Deuso led the Panthers on the 3-meter boards, scoring a 262.95 for fourth-place. Lovell scored a 238.75, while Madison Schoppe dove a 211.60.
