THURSDAY'S ACTION:

THE ANTELOPE
• Grand Canyon is 34-7 under Majerle when returning home to GCU Arena following road or neutral-site games.

• The Lopes face Missouri Valley competition for the third time this season, splitting meetings with Valparaiso (L) and Illinois State (W) in the Paradise Jam.

• Alessandro Lever scored his 1,000th career point on Sunday, joining DeWayne Russell and Joshua Braun as GCU's 1,000-point scorers at the Division I level.

• Alessandro Lever is the only WAC player to average over 13.0 ppg while also shooting over 45% from the field.

• Despite a shorter roster, GCU has not been out rebounded in its last four games.

• Opponents GCU has previously played are 66-42 (.611).

• Jovan Blacksher Jr. (4th), Carlos Johnson (7th), and Isiah Brown (9th) rank in the top 10 in total minutes.

• GCU ranks 45th in the country in free-throw percentage, connecting on 75.0% of its attempts.

• GCU led undefeated Liberty 49-48 midway through the second but went on a scoreless drought of over six minutes before falling at Talking Stick Resort Arena.

THE PANTHERS
• UNI moves to 9-1 on the season after defeating #23/24 Colorado on the road 79-76. The win marked the first time the Panthers have defeated a ranked team on the road since beating #25 Wichita State on February 13, 2016.

•The Panthers victory marked the 9th win over an AP ranked opponent under head coach Ben Jacobson. Ranked wins: Home 4, Away 3, Natural 2

•Both AJ Green and Trae Berhow finished with a team high 20 points against Colorado. Green finished 6-16 from the field while Berhow continued his efficient play 6-8 from the field and 5-6 from beyond the arc.

•Three Panthers rank in the top 10 in the MVC in three point attempts, AJ Green 1st, Spencer Haldeman 4th, and Trae Berhow 7th. Berhow leads the conference in three point percentage, making 51.9 percent of his shots from beyond the arc.

• 2019-20 marks the 2nd time the Panthers have started the season 6-0 in the Ben Jacobson era.

•Trae Berhow finished with 8 three pointers against UT Martin, tying the UNI single game record and breaking the McLeod Center record by 1. He followed it up by going 4-4 from beyond the arc against Cornell.

• AJ Green was named to the Lou Henson Award Preseason Watch List. The Lou Henson Award is presented annually to the nation's top Division I mid-major player.

• The Panthers return four MVC award winners from last years team.
                • AJ Green: All-Freshman, All Newcomer, Third Team All-MVC, Freshman of the Year.
                • Spencer Haldeman: MVC Sixth Man of the Year.
                • Isaiah Brown: All Defensive Team
                •Luke McDonnell: Most Improved Team

• The Panthers were selected to finish 3rd in the MVC Preseason Poll.

• Sophomore, AJ Green, was named Preseason First Team All-MVC. The lone Panther to make the preseason list.

• Ben Jacobson enters the season ranked fifth all-time in MVC coaching victories with 275. Jacobson also ranks fifth in the league record book for MVC-only wins with 139 triumphs.
