THE SERIES
The Panthers and Norse will take the floor for the 32nd time in program history. The Panthers hold the series edge 18-13. Luther dominated the series in the 20s before the Panthers reclaimed the series. The Panthers and Norse last played in the 1981-82 season when the Panthers came out on top 66-53.

• The Norse enter the contest with a 4-4 record with wins over Macalester College, Maranatha Baptist, La Verne, and Ripon College.
• Luther has a balanced offense in 2019-20 with four players averaging over 11 points (Thompson 11.6, Blumberg 11.5, Kappus 11.3, Wade 11.1).
• Three players are shooting over .500 from the field, junior forward Aaron Blumberg leads the Norse from the field, shooting .593 (35-59) and also leads in three point percentage .567 (17-30).
• Garrian Wade and Ray Whitlock each average over 6.0 rebounds per game. Wade, a sophomore guard, has hauled in a team high 52 rebounds in 8 games.

THE PANTHERS
• UNI moves to 7-1 on the season after defeating the Gamecocks of South Carolina in Cancun Mexico. The Panthers finished the Tournament at 3-1, finishing 3rd in the Riviera Division.
• AJ Green finished with 26 points in the Panthers win over South Carolina, he totaled 31 points for the weekend and landed on the Cancun Challenge All-Tournament Team.
• Austin Phyfe has recorded 2 double-doubles this season (Old Dominion/UT Martin) leading the MVC for most double-doubles.
• 2019-20 marks the 2nd time the Panthers have started the season 6-0 in the Ben Jacobson era.
•Trae Berhow finished with 8 three pointers against UT Martin, tying the UNI single game record and breaking the McLeod Center record by 1. He followed it up by going 4-4 from beyond the arc against Cornell.
• AJ Green was named to the Lou Henson Award Preseason Watch List. The Lou Henson Award is presented annually to the nation's top Division I mid-major player.
• The Panthers return four MVC award winners from last years team.
               • AJ Green: All-Freshman, All Newcomer, Third Team All-MVC, Freshman of the Year.
               • Spencer Haldeman: MVC Sixth Man of the Year.
               • Isaiah Brown: All Defensive Team
               •Luke McDonnell: Most Improved Team

• Sophomore, AJ Green, was named Preseason First Team All-MVC. The lone Panther to make the preseason list.
• Ben Jacobson enters the season ranked fifth all-time in MVC coaching victories with 273. Jacobson also ranks fifth in the league record book for MVC-only wins with 139 triumphs.
