THE SERIES
The Panthers open the weekend with a 6 p.m. Friday match against the Salukis of Southern Illinois. The Panthers and Salukis will take the floor for the 73rd time in the McLeod Center. Currently the Panthers hold a 59-13 all-time record against the MVC rival. Â The Panthers dominated the series from 1993-2012, winning 41 consecutive matches.
Missouri State and UNI have a long history, playing for the 80th time in program history on Saturday night. The Panthers hold a 53-26 series record. The Panthers have winning streaks of 12 and 7 matches while Missouri State won six straight from 2015-2017. The Panthers have now won three matches in a row.

• The Panthers opened MVC play with six victories before falling to the Redbirds of Illinois State in 5 sets. Now 10-1 in the Valley, the Panthers hold a 32-9 set record in league play.

• Bobbi Petersen surpasses 500 career victories and now looks to become the winningest coach in school history, chasing 503 victories held by her former coach and mentor Iradge Ahrabi-Fard.

• Karlie Taylor continues to rise up the UNI career kills leader-board, ranking 5th all-time with 1,549 career kills.

• Rachel Koop ranks 9th in UNI career assists with 2,563.

• Entering the 2019 season, Bobbi Petersen's 485 wins ranks 28th in NCAA Division I coaching victories. Petersen's .763 winning percentage is the 8th highest among active Division I coaches.

• Rachel Koop returns to set the Panther offense after averaging 11.97 assist per set in 2018, leading the conference and ranking 5th nationally. Rachel Koop ranks 10th in career assists per set with a 9.19 average.

• Karlie Taylor returns for her senior season after recording 4.77 kills per set in 2018, ranking 6th nationally. Karlie Taylor ranks 2nd all-time at UNI in kills per set with a career average of 3.86.
