THE SERIES
The Panthers and Sycamores will take the floor for the 68th time on Friday night. The two teams have met every year since 1982 with the Panthers dominating the series, holding a 62-5 all-time record. The Panthers opened the series winning the first 12 matches before falling in the 1992. The Panthers later went on a 33 match win streak from 1997-2013 and are currently on an 8 match streak dating back to 2015.
The Purple Aces will host the Panthers on Saturday night for the two team's 54th matchup. Â The Panthers hold a 51-2 series record with the two losses coming in 2008 and 2018. The series started in 1994 with the Panthers winning the first 30 matches and won 20 matches in a row before last season's loss.
