THE SERIES
The Panthers have controlled the all-time series between the in-state rival since the early 80's, holding a 82-12-2 all-time record with the Bulldogs. The Panthers and Bulldogs tied their first ever match in 1975 with set scores of 3-15 and 17-15. The Panthers won in three sets in 1976 before losing three in a row from 1977-1978. The Panthers won four matches from 1978 – 1979 before falling or tying eight matches in the early 80's. Since 1984 the Bulldogs have only won two matches. The Panthers are currently on a 45 match win streak, last falling to the in-state rival on November 23, 1996.
