CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – UNI wrestling fans may see six top-20 matchups this weekend when the Panthers return to dual action on the road.

The Panthers will be looking to avenge losses from the last meeting with both South Dakota State and No. 11 Nebraska. UNI leads the series with both teams.

The Jacks are coming off a program best, 12th-place finish at the NCAA championships and returned three NCAA qualifiers, including national champ Seth Gross at 133 pounds. Gross remains at the top of the rankings in every national poll.

SDSU saw at least three starters move up weights this year, with Henry Pohlmeyer at 149 pounds, Colten Carlson at 157 pounds and Martin Mueller at 197 pounds.

Wrestling unattached for SDSU, Tanner Sloan took second at the 2018 Midlands Championships at 197 pounds.

Nebraska is coached by former UNI coach Mark Manning. He was with UNI for three seasons from 1997 to 2000 and compiled a 23-24-2 dual record and produced UNI's last NCAA champion, Tony Davis in 2000.

Eight wrestlers from Nebraska cracked this week's rankings. With the transfer of Zeke Moisey, the Huskers' lineup boasts four All-Americans.

Moisey is a two-time All-American at 125 pounds. He started his career at West Virginia. Two-time All-American Tyler Berger moved up in the rankings to No. 2 at 157 pounds. Taylor Venz took fourth at 184 pounds at the national tournament last year. He is ranked as high as fourth. Chad Red was seventh at last year's championship.

At 165 pounds, No. 6 Isaiah White was a Division II national champion for Notre Dame College before earning a trip to the NCAA Division I National Championships last year with the Huskers.

Mikey Labriola is ranked ninth at 174 pounds. At 197 pounds, Eric Schultz is an NCAA qualifier ranked as high as ninth, and heavyweight David Jensen is ranked as high as 12th.

UNI is 38-5-1 against South Dakota State, and head coach Doug Schwab is 3-1 against the Jackrabbits. South Dakota edged out UNI 22-16 in last year's dual.Â
