The Panthers swept Valparaiso and Loyola at home to stay perfect in the McLeod Center this season at 7-0. UNI hosts Drake this weekend in a matchup cross-state rivals and travel partners.Â
The matchup is one of the two top RPI teams in the Valley and the two teams that were picked to finish first and second in league play. Drake is currently 4-0 overall in conference play and 12-4 overall while UNI is 3-1 in MVF games and 10-6 on the season.Â
Karli Rucker leads the way for UNI at 15.3 points per game, and Ellie Howell has 10.7 PPG. Bre Gunnels is the leading rebounder at 4.6 RPG. The Panthers are 7-0 at home.Â
Drake enters the weekend with weekend with a 12-4 record. Their only losses coming against ranked teams Notre Dame, Iowa State and Iowa and a road loss to a talented South Dakota State team. Three players average double figures, led by reining MVC Player of the Week Sara Rhine with 18.9 PPG.
