Panther Women Close Out Non-Conference at K-State

UNI closes out the non-conference slate with a road trip to Manhattan, Kansas, to face Kansas State Saturday at 1 p.m. The Panthers have won four of the last five games and look to add another signature win to the resume before starting Missouri Valley Conference play.Â
UNI led nearly wire-to-wire in a 79-50 win over Omaha Friday in the McLeod Center and will look to take the home mojo on the road after an extended holiday break. Karli Rucker leads the way for UNI at 15.9 points per game and Ellie Howell has 10.4 PPG. Leading rebounder Megan Maahs will miss the remainder of the season with an injury. Heidi Hillyard is second on the team with 4.6 RPG.
Kansas State is 8-3 on the season with a 6-0 mark at home. They have losses against Syracuse, DePaul and Arizona State all at neutral sites. Three Wildcat players average double figures led by Peyton Williams with 14.5 PPG. Â Williams also grabs a team-high 9.3 RPG.Â
