
UNI Volleyball Sweeps Missouri State

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The UNI volleyball team took care of Missouri State in three sets Friday night, defeating the Bears with set scores of 25-18, 25-13, and 25-21.
The Panthers started slow in the opening set, taking their first lead late set at 17-16 before stringing together points to win 25-18. The Panthers could not be slowed in the second, cruising to a 25-13 set win behind six Piper Thomas kills. The third set was close from start to finish with the Panthers narrowly taking the set 25-21.
The Panthers were led by Karlie Taylor who finished the night with a three set double-double, recording 18 kills and 12 digs. Senior Piper Thomas recorded another match with an attack percentage over .400, her 13th of the season.
Thomas finished with a .409 and wasn't even the highest mark on the team, Jaydlin Seehase held that title on Friday night, recording a .435 attack percentage and 11 kills. Rachel Koop ended the match with 36 assists to go along with her four block assists.

The Panthers now set their sights on the Salukis of Southern Illinois. The Salukis come to the McLeod Center on Saturday, November 10 for a 7 pm match. The last time the two MVC teams played the Panthers won 3-1 in Carbondale.
