UNI Women's Basketball Travels to Northern Illinois

THE GAME
UNI travels to Dekalb, Illinois, to meet Northern Illinois for its final game of the Preseason WNIT. The Panthers and Huskies both won their first-round game but fell in the second round. UNI topped Delaware 79-67 but fell to Marquette 102-61. NIU defeated Yale 89-80 before losing to Iowa State 70-60.
Sophomore point guard Karli Rucker leads UNI with 16.0 points per game while senior Ellie Howell is second on the team with 15.0 points per game and Abby Gerrits is third at 13.5 PPG. Junior Megan Maahs averaged 9.5 points and 8.0 rebound for her first two games.
The Huskies are led by Courtney Woods who is averaging 24 points through two games. Mikayla Voigt is also in double figures with 14.5 points per game.
Both teams are in the top 15 in free throw percentage. UNI is 7th at 85.7 percent while Northern Illinois is 15th at 82.9 percent.
The game is scheduled for 2 p.m. at the Convocation Center. It will be broadcast on ESPN3. There will be no radio broadcast.
