UNI Women's Basketball Meets No. 19 Marquette

THE GAME
UNI travels to Milwaukee to face No. 19 Marquette in the second round of the Preseason WNIT. UNI opened the season and the tournament with a 79-67 road win against Delaware Friday night in Cedar Falls. Marquette has a pair of wins, beating South Dakota State 91-52 before opening the Preseason WNIT with a 100-52 win over Montana State.

UNI was led in the first game by Carli Rucker who had a game-high 25 points and six assists in the Panthers' win. Megan Maahs tallied 17 points and 10 rebounds. Ellie Howell and Abby Gerrits scored 15 points each.

Six Golden Eagles scored in double figures as MU rolled over the Bobcats. Marquette is led by Allazia Blockton who is averaging 21.0 points per game in the first two games of the season. Three other players average double figures.

The game is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the Al McGuire Center in Milwaukee.

The winner of the game will face the winner of Miami and Hartford on Thursday, Nov. 15 at a site to be determined.
