Piper Thomas Named MVC Player of the Week

ST. LOUIS, Missouri – The Missouri Valley Conference announced UNI's Piper Thomas as the Player of the Week for her play from Oct. 22 through Oct 28.
Last week the senior middle hitter finished with 41 total points with 38 kills, three assists and two digs. Thomas has been efficient all season long, posting a league high .419 attack percentage and continued that trend last week with a .430 mark.
Against Valparaiso, Thomas totaled 20 kills on the night and finished with a .405 attack percentage. Thomas outdid Friday's performance on Saturday, recording a .457 attack percentage with 18 total kills. Thomas is now just a single kill away from moving into #4 at UNI in career kills. Thomas currently sits at 1,438 career kills.
This is the second time Thomas has been named MVC Player of the Week this season.
