Swimming and Diving Wraps Up Home Competition

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa—The University of Northern Iowa women's swimming and diving team returns home this weekend for dual meets.
On Friday, the Iowa Central Tritons and Loras DuHawks come to the Glen F. Henry Pool for a 5 p.m. meet. The Panthers posted victories over both teams last season with strong performances from Brummel, Kylie Engstrom and Moriah Ross.
On Saturday, the Iowa State Cyclones come to visit for an afternoon meet. Prior to the meet, the Panthers will honor six seniors. The Cyclones were victories in the meeting last season in Ames.
Last Time in Action
The Panthers were last in action at the Kansas Classic, finishing fourth at the competition. UNI saw strong performances for Katie Taylor, Molly Lembezeder, and Crystal Florman. Taylor was named the Kansas Classic Most Valuable Swimmer.
Iowa State finished in third at the Kansas Classic.
Senior Day
UNI Swimming and Diving will honor Maya Appleton, Hannah Brummel, Meredith Gorman, Olivia Knowles, Molly Lembezeder, and Rachel Siebenaller prior to the meet on Saturday. These seniors have received an NCAA B cut, reset UNI and MVC records, and had success in the classroom.
All UNI Swimming and Diving Alumni are invited to come on Saturday for the meet against Iowa State. After the meet, alumni are invited to join to team for a meal.
