OMAHA, Nebraska – University of Northern Iowa men's golfer SamDeBartolo captured medalist honors at the season-opening UNO Invitational held at ArborLinks Golf Course.
DeBartolo shot an even-par round of 71 on Saturday to win the title by five shots. DeBartolo recorded four birdies in his final round. His three-round total of 209 bested North Dakota State's Andrew Israelson's three-round score of 214.
UNI finished second in the team race as the Bison were able to hold on for the team crown. NDSU shot a three-round total of 867, while the Panthers posted a score of 877. UNI's final round score of 283 was the best team score during Saturday's action.
Sam Sacquitne fired a two-under 69 with the help of four birdies in his final round. Sacquitne finished T-22nd in the final individual standings with a three-round score of 230.
Marshal Lamb drained a trio of birdies on Saturday for an even-par round as well. Lamb finished the tournament in a tie for 12thc place with a score of 223.
Parker Oleson shot an even par round on Saturday and earned a top-10 finish with a tie for ninth. Oleson had a three-round total of 222.
